|South Carolina resident Minister Quin Rawls began playing bass at age 11 at his church and for local gospel groups. He later received a music scholarship for Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, and while there he performed with the college choir, jazz band, gospel chorus, and concert band. Afterward he entered the US Navy for music performance and attended NY Regents College.
Once he completed his tour of duty, Quin became a certified music teacher in North and South Carolina. He still performs regularly and has taught orchestra, music education, and band. He has also since played on programs with The Williams Brothers, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Slim and the Supreme Angels, Luther Barnes, and many more.
Quin is also a licensed minister of the Gospel and member of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Hilton Head. He has a Master of Arts in Church Music from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Covington Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a PhD in Religious Education.
Minister Rawls is committed to making a difference in the lives of people by presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, word, and testimony. His goal is to reach the lost for Christ and see souls saved and brought into the Kingdom of Heaven. He has organized a music ministry made up of local musicians called the Praise City Band and has plans to expand the ministry to a local community with many different music performances and productions.
